EEOC and California Labor Departments make resources available for Employers dealing with Covid-19

Posted by Eric D. Anderson | Mar 29, 2020 | 0 Comments

Right now there are many issues for employers to be concerned about during the Covid-19 Crisis. From rent to payroll to cash flow there seems to be an endless array of issues causing stress to employers. Employers also need to remain in compliance with state and federal employment laws during this crisis because there will certainly be someone who will pounce on any violations. Fortunately, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)  is offering a resource for the employment issues that fall under EEOC jurisdiction and it is worth taking a look here. The webinar is long but worth a look.

We want to thank New Jersey's Frank Steinberg for alerting us to the webinar.

CALIFORNIA RESOURCES

In California, the Labor and Work Force Development Agency provides a series of resources on their webpage located here. This includes information regarding the Rapid Response Services for Businesses. This is a program designed to assist businesses facing potential facility closures or layoffs. Management teams should take a look at these programs and feel free to contact us with any questions or requests for assistance in navigating these avenues.
